Anna Bulman

Anna Bulman is a lawyer by training whose work focuses on the practical application of international human rights laws and good practice, with a particular substantive passion for food systems. Working with governments, civil society, UN agencies and others, Anna conducts research and writing, runs trainings and workshops, and collaborates with partners to apply research to policy and practice. She is also the co-founder of Picture Human Rights, a free online resource that explains human rights-related concepts.
Previously, Anna led a right to food project in the Constitutional Litigation Unit of the Legal Resources Centre in South Africa, worked briefly in international agricultural trade at the World Trade Organization, and was an advisor to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Professor Philip Alston. She was also an associate in the Supreme Court of South Australia and a paralegal at Blake Dawson (now Ashurst). Anna is proficient in German and Spanish and has field experience in Africa, North America, Latin America, and Asia.
Anna is based in Adelaide, Australia, and has intermediate proficiency in German and Spanish.
